Helpful Hints and Ideas from The Postcard Inn
If you are planning a wedding, but don’t quite know where to start, there’s a perfect answer. The Postcard Inn on St. Petersburg Beach offers an ideal tropical, romantic setting. It’s no wonder that Postcard Inn won the Wedding Wire Bride’s Choice Award for 2013!
DIY, or Do-It-Yourself, weddings are a great idea for couples on a budget who still want to maintain their personal style in all the wedding details.
The Postcard Inn offers several unique ceremony and reception options for you to have a customizable DIY wedding. The first, and one of the most popular options, is the Beach ceremony. The bride and groom will be married on the sugary white sands of St. Pete Beach under a bamboo arch.
Another popular ceremony idea is the Garden Courtyard ceremony. The bride and groom will exchange wedding vows in a colorful, lush garden lined with palm trees. The gorgeous fire pit located close by provides a nice finishing touch. If BBQs, Luaus and flip-flops are more your style, you can even serve a buffet style reception beachside in the picnic area.
All of these outdoor ceremony options come with seating arrangements for guests, a backup location in case of inclement weather and the assistance of a catering coordinator from the Postcard Inn.
For the reception, the wedding party can dine and celebrate under a tent by moonlight on the sugary white sands of the Beach overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. If you want more of a fairytale, whimsical reception, set up in the Garden, where sparkling lanterns in the trees light up the party.
The Sunset Ballroom provides a comfortable atmosphere for cocktail hour, and you can even have your ceremony on the spacious adjoining patio as you watch a gorgeous St. Pete Beach sunset. Or hold an intimate reception in the Canteen, located in the back of the Beachwood Restaurant.
