Transportation

The area on the Sunrise Side of Tampa Bay enjoys outstanding transportation availability. Both Oldsmar and Safety Harbor are less than a half hour from Tampa International Airport and the St. Petersburg-Clearwater Regional Airport, and Dunedin is nearly that close. The entire area also is a relatively short drive from Orlando International Airport and from the cruise ship Port of Tampa. Railroad transportation to Orlando and Miami is available in nearby Tampa as well.
Ready access by automobile to and from other points throughout Florida on the state’s freeways and toll roads also is a plus for those visiting our Destination area as well as for those living here. Most of the state’s major points of interest are within easy driving distance.
One of the most beautiful drives in the world is the Courtney Campbell Causeway (Route 60), stretching across Tampa Bay from Pinellas County on the west to the City of Tampa on the east. Along this route, area residents can be seen enjoying water sports and fishing in the waters of Tampa Bay. It is located at the southernmost part of Safety Harbor. The main road to Tampa from Oldsmar is Tampa Road which becomes Hillsborough Ave. and offers direct access to the area’s largest city.
Recently the Jolley Trolley added extended access to Dunedin along its route from Clearwater Beach to Tarpon Springs.
