Hosted By Syd Entel Galleries and Susan Benjamin Glass

Join in for a special art show for The Arc Tampa Bay! Bay area neighbors are invited to a special art event being hosted by Syd Entel Galleries and Susan Benjamin Glass in Safety Harbor to celebrate the work of talented artists. On Wednesday, August 7, the art gallery, located at 247 Main Street, will present “Special Art by Special Hands.” This free art exhibit features the work by local Harborside Studios artists, the art studio of The Arc Tampa Bay which provides an artistic home and platform for artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The event is scheduled to run 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
This week’s’ showcase marks the 11th year for the art event with 100% of proceeds from art sales to benefit Harborside artists and provide art supplies for future work. Guests are encouraged to donate art supplies at the event in lieu of admission. An art drive station will be available to receive donations in the form of crayons, markers, paint brushes, colored pencils, frames and canvases.
“Our talented artists are so lucky to have the generosity of Susan Benjamin and Syd Entel Galleries hosting this event in partnership with WEDU,” says Madison Orr, Hauenstein, Executive Director of The Arc Tampa Bay Foundation. At the event, artists from Harborside Studios will greet visitors and be on hand to talk about their art with all work on display in the gallery available for purchase and 50% of each sale paid directly to the artist. “Be sure to get here early as the artwork flies out the door,” says Susan Benjamin, co-host of this year’s event.

Guests will also get to enjoy light bites donated by Clear Sky Café as well as wine donated by SIPS Wine Bar and Syd Entel Galleries. SIPS will also be donating 15% of its sales to The Arc Tampa Bay Foundation during the event.
