3rd Annual Skyway 10k
Supports Military Families
3rd Annual Skyway 10k Supports Military Families while racing over the Skyway Bridge. Runners and walkers of all levels will have the opportunity to cross over the span of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge in St. Petersburg on Sunday, March 1 in the third annual Skyway 10k. The iconic bridge, covering three Florida counties, will serve as the breathtaking setting and 6.2-mile course for a once-in-a-lifetime race. With 100% of all proceeds benefiting the Armed Forces Families Foundation, the Skyway 10K will be a salute to the military families and a premiere bridge run for years to come. The event offers an opportunity to take in the beauty of Tampa Bay, support our military and their families, and be a part of something historic!
The excitement begins on Saturday, Feb. 29, with The Race Expo, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Race Expo at Lot 7 in the parking lot of Tropicana Field in beautiful Downtown St. Petersburg and is open to the public. There will be live music, vendors, and a day filled with fun – you won’t want to miss it! Bring your family and friends to this community-wide event to celebrate the Skyway 10K and support military families.
On Sunday, March 1, the Skyway 10K returns! Runners and walkers of all levels will once again have an opportunity to cross over the span of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge and race through three Florida counties. Last year’s event helped to raise $640,000 for the Armed Forces Families Foundation (AFFF). 100 percent of all proceeds will once again benefit the AFFF and support our military and their families!
The 2020 event is capped at 8,000 registrants. The Skyway 10K is point-to-point from Manatee County to Pinellas County running northbound. Racers will be bused to the start line on the bridge. Once over the bridge, buses will be waiting at the finish line to take racers back to Tropicana Field.
