4th of July Celebrations Throughout Tampa Bay Area
Get ready for some fun and excitement throughout the entire Tampa Bay area as traditional parades, picnics and fireworks make 2016 Independence Day celebrations last all weekend long.
4th of July Children’s Parade
Break out your red, white and blue and get a head-start on celebrating the 4th of July with a parade created specifically for smallest of patriots. The parade kicks off at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 4, from Coffee Pot Park located at 1800 Coffee Pot Blvd. NE in the Historic Old Northeast Neighborhood of St. Petersburg.
Clearwater Celebrates America
Celebrate this Fourth of July with the largest fireworks show in the Tampa Bay area at Coachman Park in downtown Clearwater. This FREE family celebration will feature music, food, drinks, local vendors and family-friendly activites.
Live music by Nashville recording artist Aubrey Wollett, Clearwater’s own The Ries Brothers, and a performance by The Coachman Park Pops Orchestra featuring The Wilsons will entertain everyone throughout the night. Gates open at 4 p.m. and music will begin at 7:30 p.m. The fireworks will begin between 9-9:30 p.m.
Fireworks Across the Bay Celebration in St. Pete
Grab your lawn chairs and come watch the spectacular 4th of July fireworks display over Tampa Bay in St. Petersburg! Fireworks begin at 9 p.m. at St. Pete’s Spa Beach Park, 615 2nd Ave. NE. Spectacular watching is available all along the St. Petersburg waterfront.
4th of July Buffet at MFA
Celebrate Independence Day at the Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg with the 9th annual Fourth of July Fireworks Buffet. Dine in the air-conditioned glass conservatory at the Museum while enjoying an all American buffet, art galleries, entertainment, and a fantastic view of the fireworks over Tampa Bay in downtown St. Petersburg.
Entertainment includes Americana duo, The Hummingbirds, a playfully soulful band blending southern charm and Detroit grit. The extensive buffet provided by Olympia Catering will include items such as hickory smoked chicken, bbq grilled salmon, a slider bar with pulled pork and brisket, an American beef hot dog stand with all the toppings, plus beer and wine will also be available. Seatings are available from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

Fourth of July Family Picnic in Tarpon Springs
There’s nothing better than an old fashioned picnic in the park to celebrate our Independence Day! Head to Craig Park at 100 Beekman Way in Tarpon Springs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, July 4. Bring the family to enjoy a waterslide, paddle boarding, inflatables, lawn games and free hot dogs while supplies last! Save room for the hotdog eating contest at noon (ages 16 and up).
There’ll be live enterainment provided by Rusty Trumpet, featuring patriotic songs and hits from the 60’s to now. Admission is free.
Gulfport’s July 4th Celebration
Gulfport invites area residents to celebrate Independence Day all day long on Monday, July 4, with fun kids’ activities, food and arts and crafts vendors along with live entertainment! Visit Gulfport’s Downtown Waterfront District beginning at 2 p.m. for a great family-friendly 4th of July block party. The fireworks spectacular will kick off at 9:15 p.m. on the Gulfport beach near the Gulfport Casino.
Largo 4th of July Celebration
Largo will be celebrating July 4 with an old-fashioned Independence Day party in the park! Head to Largo Central Park where family-friendly fun will begin at 6 p.m. Enjoy great food, live entertainment and activities for all ages, followed by a spectacular fireworks show starting at approximately 9:15 p.m.
Be sure to save room for the pie eating contest, try your luck at the watermelon seed spitting contest, or bring some extra cash for t-shirt decorating ($5) or inflatable activities ($10).Admission to the event is free. The park is located at 101 Central Park Dr. in Largo. Largo’s 4th of July Celebration will be presented by HCA West Florida Pinellas County Hospitals to Light Up Central Park. Admission to the event is free and activity wristbands will be available for purchase on-site (cash only). Safety Harbor 4th of July Celebration(s)
Bring the whole family out for a July 4th Celebration, Safety Harbor style! The day will start with a patriotic parade down Safety Harbor’s Main Street from 10 a.m. to noon, hosted by the American Legion Auxiliary. Wear your red, white and blue and be ready for a good time. In the evening, there will be a July 4th Celebration Safety Harbor style, sponsored by Blake Real Estate. Enjoy a variety of children’s activities and food vendors starting at 5 p.m. There’ll be , live entertainment by the Mercy McCoy Band and local favorites Stimulus. Then gGrab a good seat in the marina or the Waterfront Park adjoining Safety Harbor Resort and Spa to watch the “best fireworks display in Tampa Bay” light up the sky over Old Tampa Bay at 9 p.m.
Fireworks after FREE Dunedin Blue Jays Game on July 3
Celebrate America’s favorite weekend with a FREE baseball game! The Dunedin Blue Jays take on the Florida State League-leading Tampa Yankees in a three-game home series from July 1-3, with games at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and a FREE game on Sunday, July 3, starting at 6:15.
Gates open on Sunday at 5 p.m. in Dunedin’s Auto Exchange Stadium at 371 Douglas Ave., so get there early to get your free ticket. Enjoy postgame fireworks to cap off the evening. The Blue Jays are an advanced Class A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, which comes to Dunedin each spring for its spring training schedule.
Clearwater Threshers Plan Two Fireworks Shows
The Clearwater Threshers have some great Independence Day events scheduled over the Independence Day weekend when they host the Brevard County Manatees for a three-day series. It will begin on Friday, July 1, with a Threshers Free Shirt Friday with a Patriotic T-shirt giveaway to the first 1,000 fans, presented by the Tampa Bay Times. Fans will want to stay after the game for a concert by The Greg Billings Band, presented by Budweiser.
Then on Saturday, July 2, and Sunday, July 3, will both feature the Threshers famous and Best in the Bay Fireworks Shows, presented by Budweiser. All three games are scheduled to begin at 6:15 p.m.
Skyler Clark to Rock the Beach at Whiskey Joe’s July 4th Bash
Whiskey Joe’s Bar & Grill in Tampa is celebrating the 4th of July holiday with beach fun, a fireworks show, and a special live performance by local country singer, Skyler Clark, a USF student and Tampa native. Clark will perform his “bonfire country” act from 6 to 10 p.m. on Monday, July 4.
In addition to cover songs ranging from Jason Aldean to Sublime, Clark’s set list will include tracks from his current EP ” Tear It Up,” such as “Buzzin’ On You” and “Hell of a Night.” “Buzzin’ On You” is a fan favorite at live club performances and received airplay on Iceman Best Country Radio. Clark will also introduce several new songs from his upcoming album that night.
To celebrate, Whiskey Joe’s has fireworks scheduled for sunset, which will launch over Tampa Bay. They will be offering an Independence Day beach menu and special pricing on draft beers and drinks.
