Tampa Bay Beach Bums hold VETSports Open Volleyball Event in Gulfport November 8 & 9. If you like beach volleyball, you’ll get your fill at the 8th Annual VETSports Open. This event that involves men’s, women’s and coed teams is coming to Gulfport November 8 and 9! Don’t miss this coed Quad Beach Volleyball tournament on the beaches of Gulfport at 5558 Shore Blvd. S in Gulfport.
Balls will be in the air on Saturday morning starting at 8 a.m. in the Men’s and Women’s OPEN division. The rated AA, A, B and BB divisions will check in at 9:15 and begin play at 9:45. Coed 2’s will begin playing at 4 p.m. Coed 4’s will be playing on Sunday. Teams that are not playing are required to help by serving as referees, and penalties will be applied for late arrival. Games are double elimination, switch sides every 7 points.
Competition will be Match Play, two games to 21 points, cap at 25, then a third game to 15 (if needed). There will be a Players’ Party on Saturday from 9 p.m. to close at Caddy’s Gulfport. Teams can register at www.BeachBumsBracket.com. Individual entrants can be paired when requested.
