Exhibit Here, An Open, All Media Juried Exhibit

On Display June 26 – July 27

ArtCenter Manatee is honored to host an exhibit featuring the work of watercolor artist Jenny Medved of Sarasota.  Jenny, a representational figurative artist & illustrator immerses herself in the culture of the people she paints; not just history, but family and community. She shares her insights with us in an exhibit of about 30 pieces – Jenny Medved: Indigenous People, Portraits of Heritage and Descent, on display in the Kellogg Gallery at ArtCenter Manatee, June 26 – July 27.

Jenny was featured as one of the ten artists in the ‘Ones to Watch’ feature of Watercolor Artist Magazine, December 2015 edition. She is a member of local artist group SartQ, as well as the American Watercolor Society, the Hawaii Watercolor Society, the Florida Watercolor Society, and a signature member of the Florida Suncoast Watercolor Society.

Jenny received a BFA in Illlustration from Ringling College of Art & Design. She holds a MFA in Figurative Painting from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. She has also studied traditional portraiture at the Florence Academy of Art, in Florence, Italy.

Also on display, in the Searle and Reid Hodges Galleries, will be an open, all media, juried exhibit, Exhibit Here. We hope you’ll join us for the Opening Reception for both shows on Thursday, June 28th from 5:00-7:00pm. Meet the artists, discover the amazing talent of these local artists, and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere in our galleries. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages available. Free and open to the public.
