Awakening Into the Sun Festival, St. Petersburg’s premier health and wellness festival, is set for Saturday and Sunday, March 7 and 8, in North Straub Park, 400 Bayshore Drive in St. Pete. The eighth annual event is set for the first weekend of March each year to provide a combination of health and wellness activities, spiritual connection, vendor booths, food, and fun in the sun! It is free and family and pet friendly.
The Awakening into the Sun Festival will take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. There’ll be free live music from both days, and free group yoga classes on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. In addition, over 125 vendor booths will offer refreshments and unique handmade goods, trusted health and wellness products and local wellness practitioners. Phoenix Rising Animal Rescue will be on hand throughout the festival with pets available for adoption into permanent forever homes.
The entertainment schedule begins at 11:30 a.m. and continues until 5 p.m. on both days. Featured performers on Saturday include Speak Easy, Jordyn Zentz, Jitepa, Drum Circle with Jimbo Talbot of Drum Quest (Feature image above), and The Latin Jazz Knights Band. Sunday’s lineup includes Latin Rendezvous, Infinite Third, Christie Lence, The Mystic Voices (RIGHT), Eluv, and Joel Jadus and Friends. Also learn about healing bowls here.
