The Florida Orchestra Presents Beethoven’s Eroica Symphony. It’s Beethoven on steroids, with a rare performance of the Mahler version of Ludwig von Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3, better known as the Eroica Symphony. In this rendition, The Florida Orchestra tells the story of Strauss’ Don Quixote. Don’t miss this symphonic experience at the Straz in Tampa at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, The Mahaffey at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 12, and at Ruth Eckerd Hall at 7:30 pm. On Sunday, Oct. 13.
On Thursday, Oct. 10, 7:30 p.m. at Blake High School in Tampa will treat the audience to a concert preview with “Inside the Music– You’ll never listen to music the same way again.” Orchestra director Michael Francis blends humor, smart analysis and live orchestra demos to take people on a journey through a single piece, ending with a full performance.
