Blast Friday returns to Downtown Clearwater for its 7th season! This food and crafts festival features a free live concert every month located in the Cleveland Street District. Food trucks and vendors will be serving a wide variety of freshly prepared specialty food and beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages that will be available for purchase. Concert goers are welcome to bring their lawn chairs to watch the concert. A limited number of VIP and SUPER VIP packages are on sale now.
New this year! We will have a Beer Garden at Station Square, located in the 600 block of Cleveland Street, with live local music and a sampling from Crooked Thumb Brewery.
A local art experience will also be featured at each Blast Friday. This month a free exhibit will be held outside Studio 617, hosted by Lina Texiera. Studio 617 is located at 617 Cleveland Street and the exhibit will be from 7 to 9 pm.
Blast Friday has festival seating. Personal blankets and chairs are welcome. No outside food or beverages permitted. This event is rain or shine. Dates, times, and bands subject to change and cancellation.
For over 30 years, The Fabulous Thunderbirds have been the quintessential American band. The group’s distinctive and powerful sound, influenced by a diversity of musical styles, manifested itself into a unique musical hybrid via such barnburners as Tuff Enuff and Wrap It Up. Co-founder Kim Wilson, the sole original member, still spearheads the group as it evolves into its newest incarnation. In addition to Wilson, the current Thunderbirds line-up features Jay Moeller on drums, Johnny Moeller and Mike Keller on guitar and Randy Bermudes on bass.
