Meet First Lady Edith Roosevelt Portrayed By Nan Colton

In 2001, the Catherine Hickman Theater opened in Gulfport. This state-of-the-art performing arts venue located at 5501 27th Avenue South offered local theater troupe The Gulfport Community Players a new location for their annual lineup of productions. Named for the Players’ founder who launched the theater group in 1980, Catherine Hickman Theater seats an audience of 172 in an intimate space that offers high-quality acoustics for the performers and comfortable seating for its patrons.

In addition to stage productions, the theater also serves as a backdrop for special events including film festivals, award ceremonies, concerts, training and seminar sessions, among other special events. This Friday, November 22, the Theater invites the public to Meet First Lady Edith Roosevelt, a unique theater event for a good cause. Actress and playwright Nan Colton will portray the second wife of President Teddy Roosevelt in a special fundraiser with proceeds to support the Gulfport Senior Center Foundation.

Tickets are $18 in advance and $20 at the door. The show starts at 7 p.m. For more information, click here.
