Runners can take part in the 38th Annual Strawberry Classic hosted by Tampa Bay Runners to raise funds for both Meals on Wheels Tampa Bay and The Children’s Dream Fund at this Temple Terrace tradition to be held Saturday, March 23. Since its launch in 1981, The Children’s Dream Fund has set out to fulfill the dreams of children ages 3-21 living in West Central Florida who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. These dreams may include anything from attending a concert or sporting event and meeting an entertainer or public figure, to going on a shopping spree or enjoying a theme park with the whole family. Dreams are referred to the organization through doctors, nurses, friends, family members, and other care associates.
