Maestro Mark Sforzini of the St. Petersburg Opera Company brings together professional musicians from South and Central Florida for Creative Collaborations, a one-of-a-kind chamber music presentation, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 9 at Opera Central, 2145 1st Avenue S.
The event will feature a unique staged production of The Soldier’s Tale by Igor Stravinsky. Dancer Vanessa Russo, narrator Karl Hesser and actors Matt Acquard and Paula Broadwater round out the company.
The program for Creative Collaborations also includes Victor Ewald’s Brass Quintet No. 1, a selection of classical and popular bassoon quartets, and a duo performance by double bassist Lloyd Goldstein and banjo artist Joshua Paul.
General admission tickets are $25; premium table seating is available for $40. Tickets are available online at www.stpeteopera.org, or by phone at (727) 823-2040.
