The organization CureSearch Walks works closely to unite families with their communities to raise funding to support the latest, most innovative children’s cancer research. The group’s primary mission is to bring together those most determined and devoted to help their children beat cancer, support those currently fighting it and honor those lost. CureSearch Walks leads the charge for the medical community to develop less toxic and more effective treatments for the 40,000 children who will undergo cancer treatments this year.
This weekend, Tampa Bay CureSearch Walk takes to the pavement to help champion this cause at Walter Fuller Park in St. Petersburg. This 9th annual 1-mile walk will be held Saturday, September 28 with registration and check-in at 9 a.m. and the event to kick off at 10 a.m. Those who are interested in showing their support can join an existing team, form their own team or simply donate and show up to cheer on their friends or family.
