Drilled is a rollicking song and dance political satire that joyfully and irreverently skewers right and left-wing fanatics, the health care system, the Executive Office, and, of course, dentists. The show tells the tale of Larry the Laborer, a blue-collar celebrity and a conservative icon who helped his party win the White House. But Larry has fallen on hard times. Jobless, loveless, and plagued with a painful toothache. Larry’s comic nightmare begins when he journeys to a branch of the only dental conglomerate that will accept his lousy insurance.
The Palladium’s Side Door Cabaret is located at 253 5th Ave. N on the campus of St. Petersburg College. It has become Tampa Bay’s critically acclaimed listening room, offering the best of blues, jazz, acoustic, Celtic and more. The 175-seat Side Door Cabaret provides a rare opportunity to see established and emerging artists in the intimate atmosphere of a nightclub where performers are the focal point. To add to the experience, audiences can enjoy beer, wine, soft drinks and snacks.
