The City of Dunedin and the City of Oldsmar have partnered up to create the sustainability initiative Drive Electric Tampa (DETB). The Drive Electric Tampa Bay is a program and a movement to promote the benefits of electric vehicle use. Each year, the cities take part in National Drive Electric Week, September 14-22, 2019, a national campaign to raise awareness of both the benefits and availability of plug-in vehicles, plug-in hybrid electric cars, trucks and motorcycles and all-electric vehicles.
This weekend, Oldsmar serves as host for the annual event Drive Electric Tampa Bay on Saturday, September 21. The free event, to be held in front of the City Hall, runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will feature an electric car exhibit, green market, environmental education and vendors, as well as opportunities to test drive electric vehicles.
