Performing will be the Old Smoothies, a featured quartet from the Palm Harbor Crystal-Aires. The Crystal-Aires is just one of 800 chapters that are part of the Barbershop Harmony Society, an international organization of 30,000 singers located throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia and Australia. The Crystal-Aires and the Old Smoothies quartet have been providing entertainment to Palm Harbor and surrounding communities for 33 years and current members of the quartet have been together for 5 of those years. The program will enlighten the audience the history of barbershop harmony, its unique musicality and the joy and comradery it fosters. Tickets are on sale at the library for $15 and may also be purchased at the door on the day of the concert. Proceeds benefit the library.
