D. Gallery Grand Opening in Sundial

D-Gallerie is pleased to announce its new relocation venture to The Sundial at 153 2nd Ave N in St. Petersburg, FL, featuring over forty contemporary painters, sculptures and mixed media artists. The grand opening event will take place Saturday August 24th 2019 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. The event will feature wine, refreshments and a drawing for an original art piece.

The artists represented by D-Gallerie are award-winning professionals working in contemporary and traditional art forms. The grand opening exhibit will highlight the works of over forty local, national and international contemporary artists.

Among some of the artists that will be featured in the gallery grand opening are Pop artists Peter Max and Fer Sucre, local Abstract artist Kelly Aldridge, Expressionist artists LeRoy Neiman and Jose Cordova, Kinetic Artist Jose Mora, and our newest NY artist Abby Elizabeth.

For the majority of these artists colors and texture are important and often explosive. For artists like Jose Mora he learned from Jesus Soto the foundation of kinetic art, the relation between background, lines and surface to create the optical illusion of movement. Mora inherited from his mentor the technical purism of kinetic art. Devoted to the manual assemblage of tridimensional objects to create the illusion of motion. His modular patterns turn as the observer moves, in an optical dance where, as the artist says, “the engine is
the eye”.
