On tour in support of his latest GRAMMY® nomination for his album Human Nature, Herb Alpert and two time GRAMMY® winner and lead singer of Sérgio Mendes & Brasil ’66 on hit songs like Mas Que Nada, Lani Hall, will perform with their three piece band, at the Capitol Theatre on Saturday, May 6 at 8 pm.
Herb Alpert, the iconic trumpeter, composer, record label executive, artist and philanthropist, celebrates more than fifty years of ground–breaking accomplishments. Alpert was recently nominated for his tenth GRAMMY® for his new album Human Nature. To honor this landmark year, 24 of his classic albums were remastered from the original analog tapes and reissued for the first time, several of which have been out of print for a number of years. Human Nature is Herb’s fourth album of new music in just three years. It features five new original compositions and Herb’s signature re–imagining of classics like Michael Jackson’s Human Nature, Burt Bacharach’s Alfie and Don’t Go Breaking My Heart and Bacharach and Elvis Costello’s Look Up Again.
