Miep Gies: Remembering Anne Frank

Actress Nan Colton will portray Miep Gies and tell her story of courage at the Safety Harbor Public Library on Thursday, September 28 at 6:30 pm. Miep, along with other silent partners, hid Anne Frank and her family for more than two years, supplying food, news, and emotional support at great personal risk. You will be touched by the sheer indomitable spirit of Miep Gies when she refused to sacrifice her humanity in the midst of history’s darkest hours.

Nan Colton, of Solo Productions, is a playwright, director, storyteller, actress, and arts educator who has performed and lectured professionally on stages throughout South Africa, Great Britain, and the United States. She brings to life passionate, live portraits of remarkable women, and unforgettable tales of fact and fiction. Sponsored by the Friends of the Safety Harbor Library.
