In honor of their date of establishment, 1987, Nature’s Food Patch is celebrating their 30th anniversary with a store-wide 80’s party: Saturday, February 18th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Attendees are invited to dress up 80’s style. There will be sales, throwback prices, free samples, giveaways, kids activities, arcade games, movies and live music. Customers will enjoy a 10% off discount throughout the store (on items not already on sale) as well as $2 off a $10 purchase for dressing up in 80’s style clothing. Some popular items The Patch has had since the 80’s will have throwback pricing.
Chadd and Kristi of B98.7 and their street team will be doing a live appearance from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. They’ll give away two tickets for a Tampa Bay Lightning game and two Clearwater Marine Aquarium annual memberships for a family of four. Enjoy a champagne toast (for those 21 and up) a mini cupcake (while supplies last), and demos from Patch partners. Local vendors include Mother Kombucha, Blazing Bean Roasters and Coconut Bay. Long-time Patch favorites Organic Valley, Nancy’s Yogurt, Smart Chicken and more will offer free samples of their most popular products.
NFP Meat & Seafood Manager, Joe Roma, will play live 80’s music with his band Row Jomah. They’ll play hits by Michael Jackson, Talking Heads, George Michael and more. The Patch’s Vegabond Chef, Brad Myers, will also play decade favorites. In the store café, guests can play throwback arcade games Mrs. Pac-Man and Galaga for free and watch Back to the Future and E.T. while enjoying lunch. Retro games such as Lite Brite, Simon Says and Etch-a-Sketch as well as free face painting and coloring activities add to the kid-friendly, family fun. Attendees are invited to the PaTcHwOrKs Community Room all weekend to learn how to make 80’s-themed dishes. Saturday’s free class features macrobiotics with Debby DeGraaff at 11 a.m. and on Sunday, a free vegan carrot dog class with The Patch’s Vegabond Chef at 4 p.m.
