Outback Bowl comes to Clearwater Beach. Before the teams representing the Big Ten and the SEC conferences go head to head at Raymond James Stadium on New Year’s Day, they will head to Clearwater Beach for a day of some fun competition. Both teams, along with their cheerleaders and bands, participate in a variety of competitions at the Hilton Clearwater Beach, 400 Mandalay Bay.
Each band performs in a Battle of the Bands atmosphere, the cheerleaders compete in tug-o-war and the players eat pie! Outback Bowl Beach Day is free and open to fans and the public from 11 a.m.to 4 p.m. Enjoy the fun, and then stay for the sunset! Stay tuned to find out which teams will be playing in this year’s Outback Bowl. The third-place teams from both conferences, usually ranked among the nation’s best, will have their seasons’ final battle when the Outback Bowl is played at noon on New Year’s Day.
