Rock Icon Todd Rundgren to Perform

To celebrate the release of his latest album White Knight, music legend Todd Rundgren brings White Knight – The ChivalRock Tour to the Duke Energy Center for the Arts – Mahaffey Theater Saturday, May 27 at 8 p.m.  As a songwriter, video pioneer, producer, recording artist, computer software developer, conceptualist and interactive artist, Rundgren has made a lasting impact on both the form and content of popular music.

His prolific, four-decade career as a singer and songwriter has produced such classic songs as “Hello It’s Me,” “I Saw the Light,” “Can We Still Be Friends” and “Love is the Answer.” His 34 career albums range from incandescent pop (Something/Anything?, Hermit of Mink Hollow) to experimental hard rock (A Wizard A True Star, Initiation), spiritual electronica (Healing) and techno (Global)As a producer, Rundgren’s most famous works include Meat Loaf’s Bat Out of Hell, Badfinger’s Straight Up, XTC’s Skylarking and Grand Funk Railroad’s We’re An American Band.
