‘Sea the World,’ Journey Around the Globe

Theme of Clearwater Beach Sugar Sand Festival

Because of its success last year, the Clearwater Beach Sugar Sand Festival has been extended this year. From Friday, April 12, through Sunday, April 28, residents and visitors will be able to see artists at work on 1000 tons of Clearwater Beach’s famous sugar sand to create sand monuments to this year’s theme, “Sea the World, Journey around the Globe” and view their outstanding art. The Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival stands out as one of the best sand sculpture festivals in Florida, with world-renown sand artists entered to win major prizes with their sand creations. And you’ll be able to enjoy Clearwater Beach, named the nation’s #1 beach in 2019 by TripAdviser.

Head to Clearwater Beach and get your ticket to visit the expansive 21,000-square foot Sugar Sand Walk exhibit. Enjoy free live music, fireworks, a giant sandbox for kids and sand sculpting classes. On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays during the festival, Baystar restaurants will offer a VIP Lounge, with beer and wine, hot appetizers from 6:30-8:30 and more special perks. Tickets to the exhibit and VIP tickets are available online. Discounted tickets for AAA members, seniors, military, police and fire and educators are only available at the gate.
