Six WordsTM Writing Contest: What Brought You to Safety Harbor?

Safety Harbor Public Library announces a Six WordsTM Writing Contest to celebrate 100 years of Safety Harbor! Six WordsTM from Smith Magazine is a process of writing six words in a simple, creative way.

In conjunction with the City’s centennial, the theme for the contest is What Brought You to Safety Harbor? Explain how you came to live in the ‘The Jewel of Tampa Bay’ in six descriptive words. For example: Cold blooded. Needed warmth. Found quaint.

Contest entries may be submitted online April 1st through April 22, 2017. The contest is open to all ages, with a limit two entries per person. Submit online at Local restaurant gift cards, sponsored by the Friends of the Safety Harbor Library, will be awarded to the top three entries. (1st place- $75, 2nd place- $50, 3rd place – $25.) Winning entries will be announced at the Library’s 8th Annual Poetry Celebration on Thursday, April 27 at 6:00 pm.
