St Pete Run Fest
This year’s St. Pete Run Fest will bring serious runners and amateurs to St. Pete on November 16-18. This 3-day run festival has events for runners of all ages and abilities. The serious racing at the St. Pete Run Fest will take place on Sunday, Nov. 18, with the 3 Daughters Brewing 13.1-mile Half-Marathon starting at 7 a.m. and the Rollin’ Oats Market and Café 10 K following at 8 a.m., both starting outside the Dali Museum. Each of the St. Pete Run Fest routes highlight St. Pete’s beautiful waterfront, historic neighborhoods, and colorful murals until the photo finish on Bayshore Drive outside the Mahaffey Theater Plaza.
The 5K will start at 8 a.m. on Saturday, also near the Dali. There will be a special Expo all day from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mahaffey Theater Plaza. Saturday at the St. Pete Run Fest also will see the PeliKids’ races starting at 10:30 a.m. at Albert Whitted Park, including Lil’ Shrimp Fun Runs for age 1-2 and 3-4. Kids from 5-13 will have a chance to run a mile and participate in the Marathon Challenge for kids from grades K-8 to log 25.2 miles at home and/or school, completing the final mile in Saturday’s event, sponsored by the Tropical Smoothie Café. Part of proceeds will go to the Children’s Dream Fund. All runners are invited to a Post-Run Party from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.in the Athlete Village at Albert Whitted Park.
