Trevor Noah, the host of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, comes to Clearwater with an evening of stand-up comedy for his Ruth Eckerd Hall debut! Before he was introduced to U.S. audiences in 2014, taking over for Jon Stewart as the host of Comedy Central’s The Daily Show, Noah was already the most successful comedian in Africa. He became the first South African stand-up comedian to appear on both The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Late Show with David Letterman. Since then, Noah has become one of the world’s brightest comic masterminds, thanks in part to his one-man Comedy Central special, Trevor Noah: Lost in Translation. Last year, he published the New York Times bestseller, Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood, his compelling and hilarious memoir about coming-of-age during the twilight of apartheid and the tumultuous days of freedom that followed.
