A walking history tour of Downtown Safety Harbor is set for May 18, at 6:00 pm. The tour will begin at the Safety Harbor Public Library and take you on a nostalgic stroll through charming tree-lined downtown, once a Tocobaga village and later a healing destination. Laura Dent, your guide from Yellow Snow Productions, will introduce you to the history, folklore, stories, and modern paranormal reports of this unique, storied community.
Total walking distance is about a mile, covered at a very leisurely pace with rest stops to enjoy the atmosphere and energy of our quaint community. Wheelchair and stroller friendly. Registration required; please call the library at 727-724-1525 x 4112 to sign up.
The library is located at 101 2nd Street North, Safety Harbor. For more information, call 724-1525 x 4112 or visit www.SafetyHarborLibrary.com.
