Iconic Photographers Exhibit to be Held at Stirling Art Studios & Gallery

The photographs of Kelly Marley and Paul Clifford will be featured at Stirling Art Studios & Gallery, July 1-31, 2018.

Marley’s work “The Iconic and The Unique” represents a photographic journey around the world. “With camera in hand, I have traveled extensively to capture images that represent the beauty and diversity of our world. Each new place awakens my heart and soul, allowing me to grow personally and photographically”, says Marley. (Kelly Marley’s photograph featured left)

Clifford’s work “From the Real to the Surreal” represents a unique photographic perspective. “The world in my photographs can devolve from the objective in the abstract or the dreamlike, in which fact and fantasy are intermingled.” (Paul Clifford’s photograph is featured above).

The Opening Reception, which is free to the public, is on Friday, July 13 from 5:30-8:00 pm in conjunction with downtown Dunedin’s 2nd Friday.

More About Sterling Art Studios:

In 1997, a group of dedicated, local artists pooled their creative resources and started a studio collective. Calling themselves the Trailway Art Colony, they set up their working studios in a building on Douglas Street, just south of Dunedin’s Main Street business district. However, due to an unfortunate fire a few years later, the colony went through a transformation, changing its location as well as its name to the Imago Group. Since then, some of the original members have left the group, but new members have also come in, and now the collective is known as Stirling Art Studios & Gallery.  The present location is the entire second floor of the renovated Stirling Commons building at 730 Broadway in the heart of downtown Dunedin.  The collective consists of 10 working studios, headquarters for the Miniature Art Society of Florida, and Penny Lane  – The Ultimate Beatles Collection. They invite you to visit the gallery and our studios, open Monday through Friday 11am – 4pm, Saturdays 11am – 3pm, and to attend our monthly artist receptions held every 2nd Friday of the month from 5:30pm – 8:00pm, in conjunction with Dunedin’s “Night on the Town.”  For further information and gallery rental rates, contact the gallery assistant at: 727-460-4575  or 727-286-0050.
