February Solo Photo Art Show
February Solo Photo Art Show
at Vintage in Gulfport Featuring Debbie Wolfe
Take a trip through time spanning over 40 years without leaving Gulfport, Florida at a free solo photographic art show featuring images by Debbie Wolfe during the month of February 2019.
Enjoy the artful techniques of composition, exposure and lighting along with environmental portraits that capture “the moment” made by photojournalist Debbie Wolfe. The show is at Vintage Small Bites & Wine Lounge located in the Historic Art Village Courtyard, 2914 Beach Boulevard. The opening is on Friday, February 1 from 4 p.m. to midnight. Wolfe will be on site greeting and talking with visitors.
“I looked through my black-and-white film negatives and selected some of my all-time favorites,” said Wolfe. Examples of her digital-era color artwork are also included.
To celebrate the show’s location, “vintage” environmental portraits along with timeless visual themes depicting Nature are emphasized. There are 15 images as large as 20 by 30 inches and several other special visual treats. Fourteen photos are full frame, Wolfe’s signature. Commission Wolfe to use her unique eye to create an environmental portrait of you or someone you cherish at the location of your choice. Also, contract with her for customized photographic coaching.
“Photography has been my passion since I was a kid in the early 60s,” said Wolfe. “It’s what I love to do professionally and personally. It brings me joy and peace. I like sharing my artwork with others.
Environmental portraits in the show include three people with national-level fame: U.S. Astronaut Gordon Cooper, retired American racecar driver Danika Patrick and country music legend Roy Clark. One art photo of a winter landscape may even give you the shivers. Another showcases an iconic image of a loon swimming with a baby on its back at the entrance to the Boundary Waters in northern Minnesota. These framed photos and more are for sale. Unframed sizes are also available for special ordering through Wolfe.
“It’s been about 35 years since I had my last solo show,” said Wolfe. “It was time. And, thanks to Wendy Ohlendorf, owner of Vintage, it’s happening in February.
