The event brings together the state’s most passionate fermentation professionals and enthusiasts for a day of education and fun. For those who just want to find out what it’s all about, there will be free all-day events from 11 to 4 on November 10 just outside Black Crow Coffee Courtyard at 2161 1st. Ave. S in the Grand Central District. (Individual workshop event LEFT)
A special Maser the Magical Art of Working in Koji will take place on Saturday in a master class featuring Kirsten and Christopher Shockey. This workshop will take place at St. Pete Ferments Kitchen, 4922 8th Ave. S in St. Pete. Other classes on Sunday will also take place there as well as at Black Crow Coffee in the Grand Central District and at Avid Brew Company. For other gardening tip check out this article.
The festival features ala carte workshops, demos, a fermentation market, Brew Garden, culture swap, kraut mob, fermenting competition, a big feast, and lots of fermento camaraderie! Florida Ferment Fest is brought to you by St. Pete Ferments and Sunshine + Microbes.
