Halloween Fun to Wilderness Preserve

Mobbly Bayou Wilderness Preserve will have its annual Halloween event on Friday, Oct. 25, from 6 to 9 p.m. Always a community favorite, this free festivity features a haunted trail, costume contests, inflatables, and CANDY!  Costume contest registration begins at 5 p.m. for ages 12 and under. Parking and shuttle/hayrides will be at Bicentennial Park, 423 Lafayette Blvd., Oldsmar. 

As a special added attraction, Empower Adventures Tampa Bay will be offering a $10 zipline experience that evening. Information about scheduling more extensive zipline tours over Mobbly Bayou Wilderness Preserve is available online at www.zipontampabay.com.

Encounter ghouls, goblins and ghosts at this year’s Honeymoon Island Halloween in the Park. Honeymoon Island State Park may be a cheerful, fun-filled nature park by day, but that will change from 6 to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 25 and 26.  Head down the Dunedin Causeway to Honeymoon Island for a spooktacular evening featuring a haunted house, scary trail, a mythical-magical children’s trail, games, storytelling and more!

Children 12 and under will be eligible for a costume contest each night at 7 p.m. Bring a trick-or-treat bag to collect candy prizes. This special event provides a safe alternative to trick-or-treating and a unique way to experience the Halloween season. 

St. Pete Beach Trunk-or-Treat

Trunk-or-Treat is back and better than ever! Come to Horan Park in St. Pete Beach on Thursday Oct. 24, for a fantastic evening filled with Halloween fun! Start off by trick-or-treating from spooky trunks in the parking lot and end the night in Horan Park watching a family friendly Halloween movie in the under the stars all for FREE! Trunk-or-Treat starts at 5:30pm and the movie in the park starts at 6:30pm.

Halloween fun in Dunedin begins with an invitation for kids to trick or treat along Main Street and Broadway Avenue in Downtown Dunedin on Friday, Oct. 25. Children are invited to visit any store that has a pumpkin in the window to add a sweet treat to their candy collection.

The Dunedin History Museum’s costume parade will begin lining up at 5:45 p.m. and parade to Pioneer Park for awards at 6:30 pm. Cap the night off with a family-friendly Film in the Park.

‘Stadium of Screams’ Invites Kids to Al Lang Field

The first-ever Stadium of Screams event at Al Lang Field in St. Petersburg opens with an adults’ fright night on Friday, Oct. 25, and then changes course to offer an exciting Halloween party for the Kids. From 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, Oct. 27, turn down the screams of fright and enjoy a kid friendly Haunted House, Halloween family-classic movies on the field, face-painting, soccer drills, a Pumpkin Patch, a balloon artist, Pete the Pelican, Kona Ice and more!

Tickets for both events start at $5 for kids and $8 for adults and can be purchased at StadiumOfScreams.com. 100 percent of the proceeds go to St. Petersburg Free Clinic and Tampa Bay Rowdies Soccer Fund.

Volkswagen Car Show Trunk or Treat

Brings Kids to Oldsmar Oktoberfest

The Volkswagen Car Show at this year’s Oktoberfest in Oldsmar will have its own Halloween special event for the kid. Some 60 Volkswagens will have a Trunk or Treat event at the Volkswagen Car Show on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This year’s Oktoberfest at Tampa Bay Downs in Oldsmar is a two-weekend event on October 18 to 20 and October 25 and 26, sponsored by the Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce. For some Halloween fun, enjoy a free movie underneath the stars in North Straub Park at 400 Bayshore Drive in downtown St. Pete. Grab a blanket, low lying chair, and a picnic to enjoy music beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31, followed by the screening of the movie at dark. Refreshments will be available for purchase. 

Scooby-Doo! and the Spooky Scarecrow is a 2013 Direct-to-DVD special based upon the Scooby-Doo Saturday morning cartoons as a Halloween special, released on September 10, 2013 on the 13 Spooky Tales: Run for Your Rife DVD. The movie will be followed by live music featuring the original 1925 Phantom of the Opera music by Vince Di Mura.

Safety Harbor Main St. Trick-or-Treat

Gives Kids Safe Way To Celebrate Halloween

Safety Harbor’s Main Street Merchants are planning to have their annual Halloween Trick or Treat event from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31. Kids are invited to put their best costumes on and come to Safety Harbor’s Main Street to Trick-or-Treat in a safe family atmosphere.

Safety Harbor’s City Hall, Fire Station 52 and Main Street businesses will be handing out treats. The annual event is free and fun.
