The Pinellas Community Foundation (PCS) has been a vital longtime supporter of the Homeless Empowerment Program(HEP), and their latest grants are just an addition to their impressive history of charitable donations. This January, the Foundation gave a HEP an $8,000 capital improvement and equipment grant. The funds will be used to purchase bed frames and mattresses for HEP’s emergency housing, which provides safe shelter to 110 individuals each day. In addition, PCF also allocated a $5,000 grant to HEP’s general operating fund, in order to ensure that the support services provided by HEP are available to those in need for years to come. Thanks to grants like this, last year HEP assisted 1,204 individuals, including 127 children and 504 Veterans.
