James Michaels: An American Pop Life Exhibition

 

James Museum of Western and Wildlife ArtThe James Museum of Western and Wildlife Art brings pop art vibes to its galleries with this exhibition James Michaels: An American Pop Life. This special exhibition features Pop Expressionist and Painterly Realism paintings from Michaels, a Tampa Bay artist. The exhibit runs through March 3, 2019. The museum is open daily from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and until 8 p.m. on Tuesday evenings.

The James Museum of Western & Wildlife Art is located at 150 Central Ave. in St. Petersburg. It opened in April 2018 and its collection transports visitors through the rich and diverse heritage of the American West. More than 400 works of art evoke the spirit of a wide-open frontier and the beauty of life in the wild. The museum engages the community through a variety of programs and educational opportunities that bring our history and culture to life.

Museum co-founders Tom and Mary James have created a vast artistic legacy — one populated by emerging artists and living legends and filled with tribal tradition and classical finesse. In building this splendid home for a part of their vast personal collection of Western and wildlife art, Tom and Mary James have succeeded in their aim to share their vision and devotion to art with thousands of visitors.
