Legendary rhythm ‘n’ blues vocalist Jeffrey Osborne (“On the Wings of Love,” “You Should Be Mine”) will perform alongside jazz saxophone great Gerald Albright at The Mahaffey Sunday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m.
Osborne, who rose to fame in the 1970s as lead singer for the platinum-selling group L.T.D., recently released the jazz/standards collection A Time For Love, produced by his mentor, jazz icon George Duke.
At The Mahaffey, Osborne will feature many of these songs, along with his best-loved R&B hits. Albright (the Grammy-nominated albums New Beginnings and Sax For Stax) and his band will open the show, then perform with Osborne. “Gerald is just an incredible player,” Osborne enthuses. “He’s amazing.”
Tickets may be purchased online at themahaffey.com, charge by phone at 727.893.7832 or in person at The Mahaffey Theater Box Office.
