‘Let’s Hang On!’ Brings Frankie Valli, The Four Season back to Life in Largo’s Performing Arts Center Stage. Go back in time to enjoy some of the top-selling songs of the 1960s and 1970s at “Let’s Hang On! Tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons” on Sunday, July 12, in a 2 p.m. matinee performance at the Central Park Performing Arts Center in Largo. Tickets are on sale at LargoArts.com or at the door for an additional fee.

The “Let’s Hang On!” tribute band features four guys, two gals and a swinging band, who sing and dance their way through some of the best songs of all time, including “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Sherry,” “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You, “ “My Eyes Adored You” and “Walk Like a Man.”

The Four Seasons became known as an American rock and pop band that were internationally successful in the 1960s and 1970s. Since 1970, the group has also been known as Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. In 1960, the band was originally known as The Four Lovers but evolved into the Four Seasons, with Frankie Valli as the lead singer, Bob Gaudio (formerly of the Royal Teens) on keyboards and tenor vocals, Tommy DeVito on lead guitar and baritone vocals, and Nick Massi on electric bass and bass vocals.

The Four Seasons was one of only two American bands (the other being the Beach Boys) to enjoy major chart success before, during, and after the British Invasion. The band’s original line-up was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990, and joined the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 1999. They are one of the best-selling musical groups of all time, having sold an estimated 100 million records worldwide.

The group was featured in a 2014 motion picture, “The Jersey Boys,” based on the Tony® award-winning Broadway juke box musical recounting their life story. The movie was directed by Clint Eastwood with technical assistance from Frankie Valli and Bob Gaudio.

Largo’s Central Park Performing Arts Center was recently remodeled and has become a premier destination in the Tampa Bay area. The venue hosts over 100 performances in music, dance and theatre each year while offering rental space for weddings, receptions, meetings and special events.
