Some may call it an “early-bird” menu, but what the 1925 Summer Classic Dining menu really is would best be called an incredible deal. Marchand’s Bar & Grill, located in the stately Renaissance Vinoy Resort and Golf Club, continues its popular value-priced early dining menu with a focus on a barbecue theme.
The fixed price “classic dining” menu is three courses (soup or salad, entree and dessert) for $19.25 (based on 1925, the year the historic hotel opened). The menu, created by the resort’s award-winning culinary team and Executive Chef Mark Heimann, changes seasonally. Chef’s recommended pairings — for this menu Gnarly Head wines from California and local craft beers from the Cigar City Brewery in Tampa—are available at special prices.
The Summer Classic Dining Menu entrees include Short Rib-Smoked Bacon Burger, Grilled Salmon with Pinot Noir Barbecue Sauce, and Grilled Ham Chop. Starters are a light Tomato-Cucumber Salad or Baby Greens Salad with balsamic strawberries, goat cheese and cashews. Dessert choices feature All American favorites of Deep Dish Apple Pie or Strawberry Shortcake with Vanilla Ice Cream.
Baseball fans will want to take note: Summer Classic diners can leave their cars at the hotel and jump aboard a round-trip shuttle to Tropicana Field for only $5 per person. Better yet, parking is free for diners with restaurant ticket validation. The Summer Classic Dining Menu is offered seven days a week from 5 to 6:30 p.m. through September 5; not available on special holidays.
