Congratulations to the Mattie Williams Neighborhood Family Center in Safety Harbor for 25 years of dedicated service to the community. They’re having an Open House on Saturday, Sept. 14, from 4 to 6 p.m. to celebrate. Come on over to the Center at 1002 Dr. ML King Jr. Street N in Safety Harbor to join in the festivities. You can taste their delicious barbecue, marvelous MWMFC munchies, Mattie Williams’ Sweet Potato Pie as well as assorted cheeses and vegetables plus a variety of beverages.
Janet Hooper, director of the Mattie Williams Neighborhood Family Center, and her dedicated staff and volunteers want to thank its supporters for working with them for the past 25 years to make a difference in the lives of thousands of people in their communities who needed assistance and gave children, adults and families a brighter future and changed lives. They serve the communities of Safety Harbor, Oldsmar and Eastern Clearwater. Many people talk about wanting to help others, but the Mattie Williams Neighborhood Family Center really does it!
When you join in the 25th anniversary celebration, you’ll have an opportunity to learn more about the center’s programs and services and see the improved food pantry, clothing closet, playground, computer room and other areas.
