Only One Finalist Will be Named “TopGun” of The Year
Selecting finalists to compete in the sixth annual GAIN Investor Business Pitch ShootOut on October 24th was tough. Entrepreneurs from around Florida submitted their early stage companies, many with potentially game-changing products and services – all inspired to make a difference for the markets they serve. “Each of the startups that entered the first phase of the ShootOut has dreams of building a top growth company and need a little help to get there”, said Lee May, Executive Director of GAIN, and added, “for at least sixteen of these startups dreams come true.” The companies chosen as the finalists are Aavet Therapeutics, Antibiotic Adjuvant, Composite FX, H2 Global, International Credential and Transcript Repository, LiteSwap, Medosome Biotec, MYOLYN, Parcel22, PuppyLove, ReViable Surgical, Smart Block, TSOLife, IVy Creative Labs, and Dycap. One more spot has been reserved for the winner of Startup Weekend, held in Gainesville from October 21- 23, 2016. Attendees of the ShootOut and TopGun Pitch competition will benefit from expanded programming and networking opportunities, as well as the chance to meet the newest startups. Included along with the presentation by each of the sixteen finalist is the Hutchison cocktail reception and COX awards banquet. A limited number of tickets are available. The event will be held on Monday, October 24, 2016 from 4:45 PM to 9:00 PM at the Harn Museum of Art on the campus of the University of Florida.
