In Outback Bowl at Raymond James Stadion
It’s official! Auburn Tiger Football will take on the Minnesota Golden Gophers in the 2020 Outback Bowl at Raymond James Stadium at noon on New Year’s Day! After a week of special events and activities, the teams will represent the Big Ten and the South East Conference in a major bowl game. Minnesota will try to avenge the narrow loss by Big Ten Champion Ohio State to Clemson in the semi-finals of the national championships.
The Golden Gophers finished the season in second place in the Big Ten with a record of 10-2, while the Tigers placed third in the SEC with a 9-3 record. Game time is 1 p.m. Tickets are available online. Last year, University of Iowa fans cheered as the Iowa Hawkeyes took home the title of Outback Bowl champions. The Iowa Hawkeyes won by 27-22 against the Mississippi State Bulldogs last year to give the title to the Big Ten in this big inter-conference rivalry.
One of the highlights of this year’s Outback Bowl will be a colorful halftime show, featuring more than 3,500 performers! The college bands from Auburn and Minnesota will perform, followed by a massed band performance by high school bands from around the country along with an all-star dance group.
