Non-profit OnBikes Event to Support Local Community

The BIKESTOCK on Bayshore Blvd.

Local non-profit onbikes is shutting down Bayshore Blvd. on May 22 for BIKESTOCK (from 3-7 p.m.), a Woodstock-inspired community bike ride and VIP Party that will help raise funds to STOCK bicycles and helmets for kids and families in need.

This event is a first for onbikes, born out of necessity after a dismal year that brought with it the cancelation of the organization’s annual signature fundraising event – The Winter Wonder Ride. Free to the public and co-sponsored by the City of Tampa, this new “open streets” concept will close Bayshore Blvd. between the hours of 3-7 p.m. from Swann Ave. to Bay-to-Bay Blvd. for an afternoon of family-friendly bike riding along the water, activities, local vendors, and artists.

Turning Bayshore Blvd. into our playground, riders are encouraged to dress in their hippie best

Turning Bayshore Blvd. into our playground, riders are encouraged to dress in their hippie best and safely enjoy the beauty of Tampa Bay and the company of family, friends, and other riders. Bringing our community together safely is more important now than ever and will help further the onbikes mission of delivering new bicycles to kids and families who need them most. Following the community bike ride, guests will be boogieing down at the Tampa Garden Club VIP Party from 6-10 p.m.

Tickets are required for this event and include an open bar, delicious local food, live entertainment, local artists, and the quintessential Tampa sunset. With safety a top priority, hand sanitizing stations will be present throughout and masks and social distancing are recommended. Interested riders and VIP Partygoers can register at www.onbikes.org/bikestock
