Fishing Tournament in Madiera Beach
The Old Salt King of the Beach Fishing Tournament returns to Madiera Beach. The fishing festival will open on Friday, Nov. 8, at R.O.C. Park in Madeira Beach.
This year’s Old Salt King of the Beach with include a free Concert featuring Seranation. Doors open at 5 p.m. Seranation will take the stage at 8:30 p.m. with a few local opening bands performing starting at 6:30. Drink specials from 5 to 7 p.m. The event will be a full festival with local food, local vendors and a Kids Zone.
The real highlight of the event will take place on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 9 and 10, when the Old Salt King of the Beach Kingfish Tournament will challenge teams in six different categories for $225,000 in cash prizes and 63 paid places in six divisions and $60,000 for first place.
This is the 26th anniversary of the competition, held every spring and fall in beautiful Madeira Beach twice every year. The Kingfish Tournament is host to competitive fishing teams from the southeastern United States and beyond. For more information, go to www.oldsaltfishing.org.
