Penny Lane, The Ultimate Beatles Collection

Announces Grand Opening, April 14, 2017, 5:30 – 7:30 pm

PENNY LANE, The Ultimate Beatles Collection is the creation of long time Dunedin resident and humanitarian, Robert Entel, who considers the time is right to share his eclectic collection of Beatles memorabilia covering several decades dating back to 1961. The compilation was started at the famous Portobello Road flea market in London in 1984 whilst he was studying overseas.

The museum collection is located at 730 Broadway, 2nd floor at Stirling Commons in Downtown Dunedin. Hours of operation are Monday, Wednesday and Friday noon to 4:00 pm or by special arrangement by calling 727-281-8130. The Grand Opening will be the highlight of the first annual Beatles Era Art Festival and winners will be announced during the evening celebrations.

Penny Lane contains many extremely rare and highly collectible mementos from signed guitars to strands of Beatles hair…from Yellow Submarine paraphernalia to Beatles puppets and pins. From the many signed documents to a serape which was once owned by Ringo Starr. This exhibit of eclectic memorabilia is curated by Colin Bissett who grew up in Liverpool, where the Beatles first began and who enjoyed live performances of the Fab Four at the Cavern Club and Casbah in the early sixties before they became a world-wide phenomenon known as the Beatles.
