The PGA TOUR will return to Tampa Bay with four championship rounds of golf in the annual Valspar Championship the week of March 16-22 at Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor. Among the world’s best golfers who are scheduled to compete are Brooks Koepka, currently ranked #2; Dustin Johnson, currently ranked #5; Bubba Watson, Gary Woodland and Henrik Stenson. Paul Casey will return to defend the title he has won in the Valspar for the past two years.

The week-long schedule for the PGA TOUR’S Valspar Championship of events begins with the Veterans Alternative Copperhead 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, March 15. The race will be held on Sunday, March 15, at 4 p.m. and will incorporate a scenic route through the tournament’s iconic Copperhead Course, finishing with a post-race party, featuring complimentary food and beverages at the AmeriLife Snake Pit Club on the 17th hole from approximately 4:30 to 7 p.m. Register online at Copperhead 5k.com/register to participate in the race.

Tour players and their amateur partners will take to the course on Wednesday, March 18, in the MetLife Championship Pro-Am before the championship competition begins on Thursday, March 19, and continues through Sunday, March 22. The Valspar Championship is Tampa Bay’s PGA TOUR event and a part of the annual FedEx Cup competition. The tournament is nationally televised by NBC Sports and the Golf Channel and is owned and operated by Copperhead Charities, Inc. Valspar Paint has been the title sponsor for the tournament since 2014 and recently extended its sponsorship until 2025. Tickets are available online and at all Tampa Bay area Publix stores.

In addition to being able to see world class golf on a world class golf course, Innisbrook’s famed Copperhead Course, fans will have an opportunity to participate in a variety of special activities designed just for them. And the community will benefit from the funds raised for medical charities, youth programs, veterans’ groups and many others. Last year’s Valspar Championship at Innisbrook generated $2,274,686 for more than 75 local charities.

Chris Young, multi-platinum country music star, will headline this year’s tournament concert, Valspar® LIVE 6, joined by special guests Big and Rich after play on Saturday, March 21. Another Round Happy Hour Friday is a new premium event featuring food trucks and craft beer sampling for purchase, music and celebrity visits. The Michelob ULTRA CLUB will be a new expanded area with added craft beers, an AC tent, jumbo interactive games such as Jenga, corn hole and a putting area

The Valpar BLOCK PARTY area features tiny homes painted in Valspar Colors of the Year, player autograph sessions and a fun seating area. In addition, there are many other family-friendly events and activities, such as a 16-foot high rock-climbing wall, putting holes and various arts and crafts. Artist Valentino Dixon has created an original drawing of Copperhead’s iconic 17th hole, which will be printed and available for purchase during the tournament.

The new Copperhead Crawl ticket will satisfy attendees’ refreshment options, which include beverages at five premium locations—the Avion Margarita Deck, Horse Soldier Whiskey Lounge, the Michelob Ultra Club, the Ketel One Experience and the Publix® Chillounge, which features an expansive lounge area, complete with a variety of food and drink options.
