Presented by The Nancy and David Bilheimer Capitol Theatre

The Pink Floyd concert has been delayed. Check back soon for new concert dates! Since March 1921, The Nancy and David Bilheimer Capitol Theatre (then known as Capitol Theatre) has been a fixture in downtown Clearwater.
Kicking off its role as an important home for cinema in the Bay area with the premier of the motion picture Dinty, the theater continues to live up to one of its previously anointed descriptions as “one of the most beautifully finished playhouses in the South.” Over 74 years, the theater hosted statewide beauty pageants, local symphony concerts, films, appearances from special performers and more. Saved from demolition in 1995, the Capitol Theatre was rescued when facing foreclosure in 2009, the City of Clearwater purchased the building and partnered with Ruth Eckerd Hall for its management. Through renovations and expanded seating, this lovely venue continues to deliver an intimate and historical backdrop for top entertainers. Earlier this year, Ruth Eckerd Hall announced a $2.5 million gift for continued renovations through the generosity of Nancy and David Bilheimer, prompting a slight name change.

This weekend, a unique talent hits the stage at Bilheimer Capitol Theatre when Classic Albums Live present Pink Floyd’s The Wall. The album celebrates its 40th anniversary and remains one of the best-selling albums of all time.
Get lost in the sounds of Pink Floyd classics like “Another Brick in the Wall” and “Comfortably Numb” as performed by this talented group of cover artists.
Released in 1979, “The Wall” is Pink Floyd’s 11th studio album. A rock opera, the story revolves around Pink, a rock star driven by depression to insulate himself from society. His self-imposed isolation is symbolized by a wall.
A commercial success, the album charted at No. 1 in the United States for 15 weeks and spawned the singles “Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2,” “Run Like Hell” and “Comfortably Numb.” Other memorable songs include “Young Lust,” “Hey You” and “Mother.” For more information, click here.
