There’s ‘Snow Place Like Tarpon Springs’
The biggest Christmas event in north Pinellas returns to Tarpon Avenue in beautiful, historic downtown Tarpon Springs from 5 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7. This event gets bigger and better every year! This is a family friendly time with lots of special things to do. Among the highlights will be the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6 p.m. and the Illuminated Boat Parade at Spring Bayou at about 8:15. There will be many food and retail vendors with items for purchase.
Other special activities include a Carriage Ride and Hayride, Photo Ops with inflatable characters, a show play area with 20 tons of blown snow and a Balloon Artist. Enjoy a DJ and Christmas Music by the Tarpon Springs Middle School Jazz Band and Tarpon Springs High School Choral Group. “Elf,” the Christmas movie will be sponsored by Unbehagan Advisors, and performances by Just Dance, Fusion Dance, All American Youth and the Plato Academy Cloggers. Kids will have a chance to visit with Santa and to write and mail a letter to Santa. And, best of all, it’s FREE!
