Snowfest and Holiday Events
St Pete is a Great Place to be for Christmas
City of St. Petersburg and Parks Department announce Snowfest and other special holiday events. Snowfest is back in downtown St. Pete at North Straub Park, where Sixty-five tons of snow are expected to fall to prepare for the annual holiday Snowfest celebration from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7.
Activities include big and kiddie toboggan slides, an art tent, karaoke, inflatables, Nomad Art Bus, food trucks and more.
Teens can stop by TASCO’s Teen Area during Snowfest to play video games, charge their phones, listen to music and hang out with their friends. Wristbands are $5 and are required for all activities. Save time from waiting in line, and purchase wristbands in advance from Monday, November 25, through Friday, December 6 at any St. Petersburg recreation center.
At 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, and on Saturday, Dec. 21, there will be Holiday Movies in the Park at Vinoy Park. The movie schedule includes “The Search for Santa Paws” on December 14 and “The Santa Clause” on December 21. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs to settle in for a holiday movie! It’s sure to be a fun evening for the entire family. Admission is free and open to the public.
St. Petersburg residents can enjoy a new holiday experience at Tropicana Field at a lower cost. In an effort to enhance St. Pete residents’ holiday experience, the City of St. Petersburg and the parks and recreation department are providing a $15 discount* to residents to enjoy Enchant®, the world’s largest Christmas light maze and market, at Tropicana Field.
