Join the largest beach race in the area with a 5K on beautiful St. Pete Beach on Friday, Aug. 16. aces start at 7 p.m. and take place entirely in the sand, starting near The Hurricane Restaurant in Pass-A-Grille. Those who register online early receive an early bird discount. After the run, stay for the after party for all participants, including a free buffet from Hurricane Restaurant. Also enjoy drinks, a live DJ and a spectacular sunset. The free kids 200-meter fun run starts at 6:30 p.m., just before the 5K race. The Hurricane is located at 809 Gulf Way, Pass-A-Grille.
This is the third and final race of the current season. It will benefit the St. Pete Road Runners’ High School Scholarship Program. All pre-registered runners will receive a finisher medal, race t-shirt, and those who complete the entire 5k race series will also get an additional commemorative award.
This is a fun chip-timed 5K run. All kids’ run participants will receive a race bib and a finisher medal!
Interested runners who can’t make it on race day may sign up for a virtual run. Those who complete the run will receive a race t-shirt from the St. Pete Road Runners. Completion of the virtual race is on the honor system, but organizers encourage participants to send in their race photos so the Road Runners can celebrate and post your accomplishment!
