Publishes New Mystery Novel, H_NGM_N
The Tampa Bay area provides the setting for Florida mystery-suspense author J.C. Gatlin’s new book, H_NGM_N: Murder Is the Word. The plot involves a Tampa Features Reporter who returns home to attend the funeral of a childhood friend who has committed suicide, then suspects murder when she receives text messages from the deceased.
“Florida in general and Tampa Bay specifically makes a great backdrop for mystery novels because the area has a rich cultural history and a great assortment of characters already living here,” Gatlin says. “It’s a fun place to live and work and I think that enjoyment translates well onto the page.”
H_NGM_N, published by Millford House Press, is available in
ebook and paperback formats on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Books-A-Million.
“The novel’s title is based on the word game,” Gatlin explains. “It’s a puzzle just like any good who-dunnit.”
Millford House is currently publishing a new
book series by J.C. Gatlin based on the characters in H_NGM_N, in which the characters solve additional murder mysteries
set in Florida. This is Gatlin’s fourth
Florida-based mystery novel. His last book, 21
Dares, topped Amazon’s Suspense and Teen & Young Adult charts in 2016.
He resides in Seffner and regularly attends book fairs and library events in
the Tampa area.
