Give Fans Something To Cheer About
With three major league pro sports teams currently active, there’s plenty of sports activity for fans in the Destination Tampa Bay area. While the Tampa Bay Lightning National Hockey League team is wrapping up a successful regular season schedule with four away games during the first week of April, their fans are hoping to see them at home in the playoffs. The Eastern Conference Quarterfinals game 1, if necessary, would be played at Amalie Stadium on April 12. As of March 25, their season record of 59-14-4 is very impressive.
Then there’s another pro sports team to watch, the Tampa Bay Rowdies Soccer team. They have three Saturday home games this month at Al Lang Stadium. They will host the Hartford Athletic on April 6, the Louisville City F.C. on April 13 and the Charlotte Independence on April 27. All home games start at 7:30 p.m. and promise a lot of excitement.
And of coarse the other Tampa Bay pro sports team to watch is the Tampa Bay Rays Major League Baseball team has 12 home games scheduled in April at their home Tropicana Field. They will be taking on the Colorado Rockies, April 1-3; the Baltimore Orioles, April 16-18; the Boston Red Sox, April 19-21, and the Kansas City Royals, April 22-24. All three teams have informative websites where you can get your tickets in advance.
If hometown sports are your thing, we have even more Tampa Bay sports teams to watch. You may want to check out the Clearwater Threshers and the Dunedin Blue Jays. Both teams are very competitive in Major League Baseball’s High A division. And their ticket prices are surprisingly reasonable. Get out and cheer your home teams on. It can be a lot of fun!
